Needed a boat for lake fishing ,no plans just read lots of boats I liked , I like the Jon boats so I built this one from scratch , our lakes can get a bit rough here, so I made this one 40″ across the bottom and 48″ at the top of the sides , the sides are 17″s high ,boat is 7 Ft. 9″s long . I put a V bottom in it from the centerline down the middle going up 4″s at the lower outer edge where the side meets it , the front has a slight V and is 24″s long and raises up 12″s where it meets the front of the boat .I have 2 layers of resin , 2 layers of 2 ounce cloth on the bottom and 1 layer of cloth and 2 layers of resin on the sides front and back , I plan to add another 2 layers of resin soon . This was my first time in the water with it , it is very stable , light and slides into the back of my s10 pickup , we used a old 15 lb thrust electric trolling motor for this test . I have a 6 Hp Evinrude 2 stroke that is going on as my main motor . When that happens I will upload a new video to see how it performs , I`m hoping to get at least 15 mph out of it .My buddy Steve is the one driving in the video while I filmed . Cheers ya all and happy fishing !

In this stage the tile was removed but there is a plywood surface remaining to reach the sub floor. Removing the plywood floor may be hard work but is important to have a good adhesion for the brand new floor that will be installed. Also, having plywood sub flooring may not be a good idea in some cases, because wood expands and contracts with different temperatures, and if you live in a place with high humidity it could rot or expand over time due to the moisture.
